Information for authors

Matematički Vesnik publishes original and survey articles in all areas of pure and applied mathematics.

To be published in this journal, an article has to be new (containing original results in the corresponding field), correct, nontrivial and must be of interest to the mathematical society.

Articles submitted for publication in Matematički Vesnik have to be in their final form and must not be copyrighted and simultaneously submitted or published elsewhere. This journal approves the International Mathematical Union's Best Current Practices for Journals (2010) and European Mathematical Society Ethics Committee's Code of Practice (2012).

All papers are reviewed by at least two independent referees.

Mean time from the submission date to the final decision is approximately six months.

Form and preparation of the article

Authors are encouraged to prepare and submit their manuscripts in LaTeX. Submission in other formats are accepted, but may experience delays in the publication process. In any case, once the paper is accepted for publication, an electronic final version will be required.

All articles should be written preferably in English, or otherwise in French, Russian or German.

A short descriptive title should be followed by an abstract, not exceeding 150 words, which can be read independently of the paper. This should be followed by the MSC 2020 Code and Keywords and phrases. The institutional affiliation and complete address (including e-mail) of each author should appear at the bottom of the last page.

The length of the paper should not exceed 16 pages in its final form.

Illustrations and diagrams, prepared in an electronic form must be submitted as separate files.

Citations should refer to an alphabetical bibliography at the end of the paper. The style should conform to one of those in the recent issues of this journal.

If applicable, the funding support or grants should be acknowledged before the references.

On the acceptance of the paper, the authors will be asked to transmit the LaTeX source file by e-mail.
